MISSION STATEMENT: ACC, a volunteer organization, provides funding and advocacy for Western Washington children and families in need, regardless of race or creed. (2017) Formerly Association for Catholic Childhood
During the fiscal year 2017-2018, the ACC board awarded over $156,000 in grants to nineteen agencies in Western Washington, located from Bellingham to Aberdeen. Over the last nineteen years, ACC has given over 2.5 million dollars to agencies that support children and families in need. The grants are made possible because of the efforts of almost 500 women in the greater Seattle area, and other supporters. Fundraising events include luncheons, fashion shows, raffles, auctions and parties. Additional funds are raised by seasonal plant and wreath sales, annual Labor of Love online auction, calendar sales, biennial Magnolia Tour of Homes and Celebrate the Children event. ACC's Endowment Fund was established in 2002 and now stands at over 1 million (Aug. 2018). Additionally, circles and individuals provide in-kind donations including layettes, personal care items, back to school supplies and books, and countless volunteer hours.
